The Cullman Housing Authority held its very first “Your Voice, Your Home: Community Conversations” event on Wednesday, July 23, at the Hilltop Community Center — and it was a powerful step toward deeper resident engagement.
Led by CHA Executive Director Marquisha Griffin, this event created a welcoming space for residents to ask questions, share experiences, and speak directly with agency leadership. The conversation was honest, respectful, and focused on listening, problem-solving, and building stronger relationships within the community.
“This initiative reflects our ongoing efforts to build trust, promote accountability, and encourage a resident-centered housing experience,” said Griffin. “It’s about ensuring residents feel seen, heard, and valued.”
Residents enjoyed refreshments, open dialogue, and a chance to connect with leadership in a transparent and accessible setting. The event was such a success that plans are already in motion to host additional forums in the future — possibly on an annual or semiannual basis.
👏 Thank you to everyone who attended and contributed. We look forward to continuing these important conversations together!
