Paying rent is easier than ever with our Online Rent Payment option. Cullman Housing Authority has partnered with a secure payment processor to allow tenants to pay rent online using a credit/debit card or bank draft (ACH). You no longer need to bring a check or money order to the office – you can handle your rent from the comfort of home, 24/7.

New Applicants:

You will need to register for an account before you can pay rent online. Employees, landlords, and current residents can register for an account by clicking the following link.

How to Pay Rent Online:

Access the Payment Portal:

Click on the “Pay Rent” link (or button) on our website. This will take you to our secure payment portal. (If it’s your first time, you may need to register or create a payment account by providing basic information like your name, address, and tenant account number.)

Enter Payment Details:

You can choose to pay by electronic check (ACH) by entering your bank routing and account number, or pay with a major credit/debit card. Our payment system is powered by Stripe for secure processing, so your information is encrypted and protected.

Amount:

Enter the amount you wish to pay. You can pay your full monthly rent or any other charges due (such as maintenance fees or late fees, if applicable). The system will typically display your current balance, but you can override it if you are making a partial payment.

Payment Scheduling:

For convenience, you may set up recurring payments so that your rent is automatically paid each month on a date you choose. This helps avoid late payments and the hassle of remembering due dates. You are in control and can start or stop autopay at any time.

Important:

Rent is due on the 1st day of each month and is considered late after the 10th . Even with online payments, please initiate your payment a few days before the 10th to ensure it clears in time. Late payments may incur a fee as per your lease. If you experience any issues with the online system or cannot pay online, you can still pay by mail or drop-off (see Contact Us for office hours and address). We currently do not accept cash payments for security reasons.
By using the online rent payment, you’ll save time and have a digital record of your payments. It’s convenient, secure, and accessible from any computer or smartphone. No more writing checks or driving to the office – paying your rent is just a few clicks away!

(Note: Online payment processing is handled through a third-party provider. A minimal convenience fee may be charged for card transactions – the portal will display any fees before you finalize payment. ACH (bank draft) payments are typically free of additional charge.)
